09-06-08 Appointment and Posting of Commissioners of Police-Oyo & Kaduna
The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment and posting of two State Commissioners of Police.
The new State Commissioners of Police are:
I. C. P Bashir Azeez, presently Commissioner of Police, Admin ‘C’ Department Force Headquarters, Abuja who has been appointed CP Oyo State and
II. CP. Tambari Y. Muhammed, currently Commissioner of Police Kaduna State.
The appointments and postings are in conformity with Section 215 (i) (b) of the 1999 Constitution which vested the powers to appoint Commissioners of Police for each State of the Federation in the Commission.
The appointments and postings are also sequel to the need to fill existing vacant Positions in Kaduna and Oyo State Police Commands.
