PSC- Invitation to attend Oral Interview

Following the Aptitude test conducted on 3rd October, 2009, successful
candidates are hereby invited to attend an oral interview that comes up
on 19th November, 2009.

INTERVIEW DETAILS

Grade Levels 8 - 17
Time:  9.00am
Venue:  Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre, 1 Memorial Drive, Central Area, Abuja.

Candidates
are to come along with original copy and seven photocopies of their
credentials including birth certificates and means of identification
like school ID, workplace ID, Driving licence or International Passport.

Applicants whose names do not appear on the published list will not be admitted for interview.

Only successful candidates will be notified after the oral interview.

The Commission will not be obliged to enter into any corresspondence with any applicant in respect of this exercise.

APPOINTMENT OF SPECIALIST/ PROFESSIONALS INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE - ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENTS OF POLICE (ASPs) AND INSPECTORS CADRES. Following the conclusion of the selection processes conducted for qualified candidates for appointment into the Nigeria Police Force as specialists (Professionals) ASPs and Inspectors, the Police Service Commission hereby release the list of successful candidates appointed as Specialist ASPs and Inspectors.

Reform: Police Service Commission seeks N420bn Fund -Osayande

The Police Service Commission has said it requires an allocation of N420bn annually for five years to implement its reform of the force..

The Chairman of the commission, Mr. Parry Osayande, said this on Wednesday in Kaduna when he visited the state’s Acting Governor, Mr. Patrick Yakowa.

Osayande said the amount would be used in providing adequate logistics, infrastructure and training of policemen to meet international standards.

Some of the National Daily Newspapers in their publications of Monday, 26th January, 2009 reported an alleged threat by a segment of the Nigeria Police to embark on a strike action over the non-release of promotions of certain cadres of Officers. A strike ultimatum was reportedly issued in this regard.
