RE- RECRUITMENT OF CADET ASPs AND INSPECTORS INTO THE NIGERIA POLICE FORCE: CHANGE OF DATE FOR THE ZONAL INTERVIEWS.
The Police Service Commission wishes to inform the Candidates short-listed from the State Screening exercise for recruitment as Cadet ASPs and Inspectors that the interviews at the Police Zonal Command Headquarters will now be conducted from the 4th to the 8th of October, 2011. All prospective Candidates are to report at their respective Zonal Command Headquarters for further screening.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) wishes to thank all those who made the first step of its recruitment process of Cadet Inspectors and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) into the Nigeria Police Force a huge success.

INVITATION FOR THE PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS, TO BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE OF THE POLICE SERVICE COMMISSION
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Police Service Commission is to construct its Corporate Head Office Building at the Jabi District, Abuja and intends to conduct a pre-qualification exercise for interested Building Contractors: Competent and Reputable Contractors are hereby invited to apply and forward their documents for the purpose of PRE-QUALIFICATION.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORKS:
The Police Service Commission during its 24th Plenary meeting held on the 21st of June, 2011, and in Exercise of the Powers Vested in it by Section 153 (i) and (m) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and by the Police Service Commission (Establishment) Act 2001, deliberated on a number of issues in its determination at Repositioning, Refocusing and Reforming the Nigeria Police Force to a Security Outfit that would meet the dictates of a 21st Century Dynamic Society Police Organization.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for Appointment into the Nigeria Police Force as follows:
(i) CADET Assistant Superintendent of Police; and
(ii) CADET Inspector of Police.
Applicants must have a genuine desire for a Career in the Nigeria Police Force and must satisfy the following General and Specific requirements:
(i) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
(a) AGE: Applicant must be between 19 and 28 years of age;
(b) HEIGHT: Not less than 1.68 meters (5.6 inches) for Male and 1.6 meters (5.4 inches) for Female;
At the 23rd Plenary meeting of the Police Service Commission held on Tuesday, 24th May, 2011, and in Exercise of Powers Vested in it by Section 153 (l) and (m) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Police Service Commission (Establishment Act 2001), the Commission took far-reaching decisions in its determination to Reposition and Refocus the Nigeria Police Force for greater Service Delivery to the Nigerian People.
The Police Service Commission at its 22nd Plenary meeting held between the 15th and 16th of March, 2011 and in Exercise of the Powers vested in it by Section 153 (i) and (m) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Police Service Commission (Establishment) Act 1999 deliberated on a number of issues in its resolve to Reposition, Refocus and Reform the Nigeria Police Force to a Security Outfit that would meet the requirements of Policing a Dynamic Nigerian Society took far-reaching decisions.
At the 21st Plenary meeting of the Police Service Commission, held on Wednesday the 9th of February, 2011, the Commission in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 153 (i) and (m) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Police Service Commission (Establishment) Act 2001, took far reaching decisions in its bid to Reposition, Refocus and Reform the Nigeria Police Force to meet the requirements of a 21st Century Security Organization alive to its responsibilities.
The Police Service Commission, in the exercise of powers conferred on it by the Constitution and its enabling Law, held its 20th Plenary meeting on Monday, the 20th of December, 2010 and amongst other decisions promoted a total of (217) Two Hundred and Seventeen Police Officers ranging from the ranks of Superintendent to Commissioner of Police based on seniority, merit, availability of vacancies, favourable APER results and minimum of 3 years on a rank, etc. Please find attached the promoted Officers
